A surprising case has come to light from Maharashtra. A case of illegal transfer from MLC funds has come to light using fake signatures of BJP MLC Prasad Lad and letterhead. After this, Maharashtra Legislative Council President Ram Shinde on Wednesday directed the state administration that immediate steps should be taken to prevent increasing cases of illegal transfer of MLC funds using fake signatures of MLAs and letterheads. BJP MLC Prasad Lad raised the issue.

Prasad Lad raised the issue of information about the transfer of Rs 3.20 crore from his MLC fund without illegally illegally his consent. Prasad Lad said, “I received a call from Ratnagiri Collector’s house which had a letter about the list of 36 works on my letterhead from Beed district, for which Rs 3.20 crore has been transferred from the MLA fund. But I had never signed the letter, nor my letterhead was given to anyone.”

Prasad Lad demanded, “The police have identified the criminals in this case. Regardless of any party, it should be thoroughly investigated. My voice was also used through AI on the telephone.

The state government should intervene immediately to prevent such fund theft. MLAs of all parties said that they have all faced such efforts and these efforts are increasing with every passing day. Chairman Ram Shinde said, “Even when I was a minister, I had to face such efforts. Other MLAs like Uma Khapre, Niranjan Davkhare have also faced it. We immediately filed a police complaint and the money was stopped.”

Chairman Ram Shinde directed that the state government should take immediate steps to prevent such theft. He said, “We have instructed the state government. We hope that necessary steps will be taken. There should be a policy decision on this issue. Technical aspects need to be fixed and the state government should take strict action.”
