Veteran TV host and actress Nadia Khan, known for her bold opinions and candid reviews, recently made headlines after indirectly calling out an actor for alleged unprofessional behavior during the production of the drama serial Dastak, directed by Marina Khan. Nadia shared the behind-the-scenes insight during her appearance on the review show Kya Drama Hai, which she co-hosts.
While discussing Dastak, Nadia said, “There was one actor who troubled the production team with his lack of commitment. He was difficult with dates and didn’t take the project seriously. You’ll probably recognize who it was because his scenes are quite limited in the drama. He missed an opportunity to shine in a major project. As a newcomer, it’s crucial to stay grounded and professional — otherwise, people won’t sign you in the future. Industry talk spreads fast.”
Although Nadia didn’t name anyone directly, fans quickly speculated that she was referring to rising actor Ali Raza, who played a supporting role in Dastak. Her remarks sparked a wave of criticism online, particularly from Ali Raza’s fans.
Supporters of the young actor jumped to his defense, pointing to his recent success in the drama Iqtidar, which many believe he carried with his powerful performance and professionalism. One fan commented, “Ali Raza gave a blockbuster performance in Iqtidar, and now they’re trying to discredit him with baseless accusations.” Another added, “This looks like a coordinated attempt to sideline him. Even Marina Khan and Feroze Qadri didn’t mention Ali during their recent joint appearance.”
Nadia’s comments have ignited debate among viewers — with some supporting her call for professionalism in the industry, and others accusing her of unfairly targeting a new actor
