Dramatic incident of human trafficking

 Cousin grandmother sold the girl

The life of a minor girl from Badaun, Uttar Pradesh plunged into darkness when her own cousin sold her to a man named Muzakkir. This incident presents a horrifying glimpse of human trafficking, where close relatives get involved in the crime.

Exploitation was done after being taken to Tamil Nadu

Mujakkir forcibly kidnapped the girl and took her to Tamil Nadu and treated her inhumanly. When the girl’s family could not find her, they lodged a complaint with the police. The police investigated and found that it was a case of human trafficking and the girl was kept in Tamil Nadu.

The police saved him, but the inspector turned brutal

Mission to bring the girl back

After locating the girl, Badaun police sent a woman constable, a male constable and sub-inspector Hariom to Tamil Nadu. The girl was rescued safely and brought back to Badaun.

The heinous crime of Inspector Hari Om

After bringing her back, the inspector Hariom locked the girl in a room and raped her. He threatened the girl that if she told anyone, she would be put in jail. This incident not only shows the pain of human trafficking but also exposes the reality of some corrupt officials sitting in the police system.

The girl made a painful statement in the court

plea for justice

The girl, while recording her statement in the court, revealed the misdeeds of Inspector Hari Om. She told how she was repeatedly tortured and threatened.

Question: Will the police itself become criminals?

This case raises a big question before the society and the administration. If the police itself harasses the victims of human trafficking, then where can we expect justice?

Strict action is needed against human trafficking

 Legal process and sentencing

In this case, strict action is being demanded against both Mujakkir and Inspector Hariom. Strict steps should be taken to ensure speedy justice and protection of victims in human trafficking cases.

 Responsibility of society

Society also needs to be aware of such matters. If there is a suspicion of kidnapping or human trafficking of any child or woman, then the police should be informed immediately.

Get justice, build trust

This tragic incident has once again proved that crimes like human trafficking and police connivance are weakening the roots of society. The girl should get justice and the culprits should be given severe punishment. Also, the police department needs to reform itself so that such incidents do not happen again.
