Mohammed Siraj scripts HISTORY, becomes first Indian bowler to achieve THIS massive feat

New Delhi: Mohammed Siraj wrote his name in the history book on Friday(July 4) when he became the first Indian bowler to pick up a six-wicket-haul in Test matches in England as well as in South Africa. He accomplished this by taking 6 wickets for 70 runs in Englands first innings of second Test in Edgbaston Birmingham.
Big feat for Siraj in Test cricket
Eight Indian bowlers Ishant Sharma Amar Singh Bhagwath Chandrasekhar Chetan Sharma Bhuvneshwar Kumar Dilip Doshi Bishan Singh Bedi and Mohammed Siraj have bowled 6 or more wickets in an innings of a Test match in England. In the same manner seven Indian bowlers namely Shardul Thakur Harbhajan Singh Anil Kumble Jasprit Bumrah Javagal Srinath Ravindra Jadeja and Siraj have joined the Indians who have the same record in South Africa. Siraj is however the only Indian bowler who appears in both lists.
Siraj leads pace attack
Bumrah was rested and Siraj led India bowling attack in the second Test on Thursday by dismissing Zak Crawley on the first delivery of the eighth over of the innings to make it 89-2. He came back later in the morning of Day 3 to make quite and impression as he dismissed Joe Root (22) and then Ben Stokes (0) with back to back deliveries considering that both were caught behind by wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant.
Harry Brook (158) and Jamie Smith (184 not out) had added a huge 303 between them in the sixth wicket partnership but the pair were eventually separated during the third session as Akash Deep removed Brook.
