Smith hit 21 fours and four sixes in his unbeaten innings of 207 balls. Brook hit one six and 17 fours in his 234-ball innings. After taking the new ball, India took the last five wickets of England within 20 runs. Due to this, the team’s innings ended in the last session of the day. Six England batsmen returned to the pavilion without opening their account.
