BOB Assistant Manager: Bank of Baroda has announced bumper recruitment for 2500 posts of Local Bank Officer for eligible youth across the country. The application process for this recruitment has started from 4th July 2025, and candidates can apply online till 27th July 2025. Out of a total of 2500 vacancies, 1043 posts are reserved for the unreserved (general) category. Apart from this, 367 posts are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 178 posts for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 667 posts for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and 245 posts for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates. The selected candidates will be placed on a probation period of one year, during which their work performance will be evaluated.
Terms of the bond
It will be mandatory for the selected candidates to serve for a minimum of 3 years after appointment. For this, they will have to fill a bond of Rs 5,00,000 (five lakh rupees). If a candidate resigns before this stipulated service period or violates the terms of the contract, then they will have to pay this amount to the bank. This condition has been imposed keeping in mind the cost of training, resources, and the recruitment process provided by the bank.
Educational Qualification and Age Limit
Candidates applying for this recruitment must have a graduation degree in any subject. Also, the candidate must have at least one year of work experience in a bank or financial institution.
Talking about the age limit, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 21 years, and the maximum age at 30 years. However, candidates of the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category will be given a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit, while Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates will be given a relaxation of 3 years.
Basic salary will be Rs 48,480
The selected candidates will be appointed to the post of Assistant Manager (Scale-1). On this post, they will get a salary ranging from Rs 48,480 to Rs 85,920. Initially, the basic salary will be Rs 48,480, which will increase every few years according to the fixed amount. As the service period of the employee increases, the salary will also increase.
How will the selection be done?
The selection process will include an online examination, a psychometric test, a language proficiency test, group discussion, and/or an interview. Candidates who will be successful in the online examination will be further called for the Language Proficiency Test.
Application fee
General, EWS, and OBC category candidates applying for this recruitment will have to pay a fee of Rs 850. At the same time, the application fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Divyang (PwBD) category candidates has been fixed at Rs 175. The application fee will be paid through online mode, and it will be non-refundable.
