On July 4 2025 Dr Anil Jit Singh Kamboj Punjabi actress Tanias father was shot in his Harbans Nursing Home in Kot Ise Khan Moga.  Two masked men posing as patients opened fire at point-blank range. “The assailants came with a plan. They approached Dr. Kamboj posing as patients then fired at close range” stated the Moga Superintendent of Police. Hit by two bullets he was quickly transported to a private hospital in Moga where he remains in critical condition.   Police launch a rapid investigation Investigators are treating this as a possible extortion attempt noting that the doctor had received threats previously though no official complaint had been filed.
