The Ministry of Railways has directed the employees doing ticket checks to certify the Aadhaar ID of the passengers using the M Aadhaar application for real time. The objective of this initiative is to prevent unauthorized stagnation and identity fraud by enabling the QR code based investigation.

To prevent cases such as making unauthorized travel in trains on another passenger tickets or using fake Aadhaar cards, it is necessary that the process of checking the identity cards be technically strengthened. The M Aadhaar application developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is an effective tool in this direction.
