Joining the iconic series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a significant milestone. How did this opportunity arise for you?
It came about quite naturally. After the show's seven-year leap, I received an offer for a cameo role. Initially, I was hesitant since I had never done a cameo before. However, upon learning that it was from Rajan sir, I immediately agreed. My respect and connection with him played a crucial role in my decision.
Have you collaborated with Rajan Shahi in the past?
No, this marks my first project with Director’s Kut Productions. However, I had a memorable encounter with Rajan sir previously, where he complimented my talent, which left a lasting impression on me.
Now, just three months later, you find yourself working with him. How does that feel?
It feels like fate. That brief meeting and his kind words resonated with me, and when this opportunity presented itself, it felt right on every level—professionally, personally, and emotionally.
Can you share details about your character Anshuman?
Anshuman is portrayed as wealthy, intelligent, and sharp. He is straightforward and focused, especially in business matters. If there are issues, he addresses them directly. His character has multiple layers that will gradually unfold for the audience.
What was it like to embody this new character, both visually and emotionally?
Visually, Anshuman's look is powerful—sharp, well-groomed, and suited. Emotionally, I had to explore aspects of the character that differ significantly from my own personality. This has been challenging yet rewarding, contributing to my growth as an actor.
How does it feel to return to Star Plus after a decade?
It feels like returning home. It has been ten years since my last show with Star Plus. Everything fell into place perfectly—the channel, the production house, the role, and most importantly, Rajan sir's trust in me. It’s a win-win situation.
What message do you hope the audience takes from Anshuman's journey?
I want the audience to appreciate the various facets of Anshuman—his strength and sharpness, as well as the complexities behind his decisions. There’s more to him than meets the eye, and I hope they find him as captivating as I do while portraying him.
