Indirectly targeting Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Saturday that he gave a speech like 'Rudali' in a joint rally. He thanked the MNS president Raj Thackeray for giving credit for reconciliation of both cousins.

Fadnavis, while targeting Uddhav, said that Balasaheb Thackeray must be blessing me. I was told that this was to be a 'Vijay' rally, but it turned out to be a 'Rudali' speech.

Fadnavis said that even a word about Marathi was not spoken in the program and the speech given by Uddhav was focused on how his government was demolished and how they can gain power. The Chief Minister said, "This rally was not Vijay Utsav but 'Rudali' darshan." He said that despite rule the Mumbai Municipal Corporation for 25 years, he (undivided Shiv Sena) failed to bring development.

He said that on the contrary, under Modi's leadership, we have changed Mumbai. We gave the Marathi people their proper houses in BDD and Patra tricks, which caused them (led by Uddhav) to be jealous. The Chief Minister said that he is proud to be Marathi and Hindu. All Marathi and Non-Marathi are with us. The BJP leaders of Maharashtra attacked Uddhav and Raj Thackeray on Saturday, saying that their joint rally in Mumbai is a 'frustrated attempt' to re-grooming their political fate and get the lost base back before the civic elections and the event was like 'family reconciliation'.

Ashish Shelar, a minister in the Maharashtra government and BJP Legislative Council member Praveen Darekar targeted the Thackeray brothers for the event. Shelar described the organizing of Worli as a frustrated attempt by the Shiv Sena (Ubatha) to get its lost political ground back. He said, "It was not a rally for love towards it, but a public appeasement of the brother who was expelled from the house. He remembered his brotherhood for fear of BJP's strength in the civic elections. '
