According to Vastu Shastra, it is considered the most auspicious to establish the temple of the house in the north-east direction i.e. northeast. This direction is considered to be of the gods and keeping the temple here keeps happiness, peace and prosperity in the house. Due to having a temple in this direction, there is a flow of positive energy in the house and there is ease in worship.
According to both astrology and Vastu, the temple of the house should not be kept directly on the ground. By doing this, the energy of the temple is affected and purity can decrease. In addition, when the idols are placed near the ground, it is considered to be contrary to divine dignity. Selection of idols: No more than one idols of the same God should be kept in the temple. Also, very large sculptures are also forbidden. Give priority to small, clean and living statues.
Avoid south direction: The temple should never be kept in the south direction as it is considered a source of negative energy.
