Ranchi. Seven agents of Chinese Cyber Criminals were arrested by the police of CID (CID) cyber police station on Friday from a hotel in Jagannathpur area of Ranchi. The CID has lodged an FIR in the cyber police station in this case. The FIR mentions that on July 4, CID’s cyber police station received secret information that a gang of organized cyber criminals in the said hotel carries out the activities of cheating in the name of digital arrest and investment.
The gang used to arrange mule bank accounts for Chinese cyber criminals, after the arrangements of accounts, illegal transactions were carried out with the help of Chinese cyber criminals.
What was the modes of agents link to Chinese companies
The CID has arrested a special agent for carrying out cyber cheating incidents across the country and supply of mule accounts from across the country to Chinese cyber agents. The agent also works for Chinese companies Moni Pay, Dragon Pay, Super Pay, Mango Pay India. The agents working for the Chinese gang used to send APK file targets for WhatsApp and Telegram app.
This application was installed in the mobile which used to be linked to the bank. After installing, the APK application was automatically transmitted to the Chinese server on the application OTP and bank alert. With this, Chinese cyber criminals used to get remote excesses of those accounts and the misappropriation of crores was carried out.
68 complaints are registered on gangs across the country
After the arrest, when the CID investigated the bank accounts, it was found that about 68 complaints to investment and digital arrest were registered by this gang. At the same time, full details of 60 mule bank accounts have been received from the gang. According to CID officials, this is a major success against cyber criminals spread across international and across the country.
Among the arrested criminals, Kumar Deepak, Fatehpur Bypass Road Town Police Station Siwan (Bihar), Kumar Saurabh Ghaneshwar Ghat, Bind Nalanda (Bihar), Prabhat Kumar, Bagunia Mode Town Police Station Siwan (Bihar), Lakhan Chaurasia, Tillward Sagar Gopalganj, District Sagar (Madhya Pradesh), Shivam Kumar, Kujala Road Roh, Nawada (Bihar), Anil Kumar, Kachchhi (Bihar), Dadarjpur Kachhi (Bihar), Dadarganj Patna (Bihar), Dadarganj Patna (Bihar), Kumar, Gaurichak Patna (Bihar). Details of 60 mule accounts have been found from them from chatting of 12 mobiles, one SIM, 14 ATMs, WhatsApp and Telegram app.
