In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood many actors come and go. But there are a few rare gems who are not only actors but a phenomenon. Their famous dialogues or action sequences remain etched in the hearts of the audience and create a magic that remains untouched. One such similar tale is of an actor who is known for his intense action strong screen presence and fearless stunts. The actor that we are talking about is none other than Ajay Devgn. Also famously known as the Singham of Bollywood this action hero has nothing whether its heights fights or stunts - until we came to know his unexpected phobia which has nothing to do with any of it. Phobia of Lifts A few years ago during his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show alongside actress Tabu Ajay Devgan revealed his deep fear. During the show Kapil playfully asked Ajay if it was true that he was scared of getting locked inside a bathroom. Ajay clarified “No no. The bathroom isn’t a problem. I have a real issue with lifts.” The trauma that led to fear This wasnt just an irrational fear; rather it stemmed from a trauma. Ajay shared that several years ago he was in a lift that malfunctioned and crashed straight from the third or fourth floor down to the basement. Because of this he stayed trapped in the film for over half an hour. Since then Ajay feels scared of lifts and prefers to take the stairs even if he has to climb several floors. “After that incident I stopped using lifts altogether” he shared. “Wherever I go I prefer taking the stairs—even if it’s several floors up.” He shared. For someone like Ajay Devgn who is seen doing fearless and high-risk stunts on screen this fear was both surprising and humbling. It also shows that stars are like us too and they also have irrational fears shaped out of some personal trauma. Ajay was last seen in the successful film Raid 2 and will soon return to the big screen with Son of Sardaar 2 which will hit the theatres on 25th July.
