Aarti Kumari, a resident of Indore, has made serious allegations against her husband Mohammad Shahbaz like forcibly feeding her beef, removing pictures of Hindu deities and pressuring her to convert to Islam. Aarti has met the Begusarai police and requested to return to her city. The woman says that she befriended Shahbaz 5 years ago through Facebook and then went to Begusarai for marriage. But after marriage, her life changed completely and she had to face mental and physical torture.
Aarti Kumari alleged that after marriage, Shahbaz forced me to eat beef. He deleted the pictures of Hindu gods and goddesses from my phone. When I refused, he beat me. The woman says that initially Shahbaz had told her that he was involved in the gold and silver business, but later it was revealed that he makes flower garlands in a shop.
Shahbaz, on the other hand, completely rejected all the allegations of Aarti and claimed that Aarti is already married and has three children. She has undergone an operation and now cannot become a mother. She has relations with other men and has run away from home three times in the last 5 years. Shahbaz also said that why would I expect someone who herself does not know how to read and write to eat beef or read the Quran? Shahbaz has also demanded the district administration to get rid of Aarti.
Sadar DSP Subhash Kumar said that Aarti came to us, but she did not file any written FIR against her husband. She only wrote in the women’s police station that she wants to return to Indore. Therefore, she has been sent to the women’s shelter home and the process of her return home has been started.
Aarti said that after marriage she lost contact with her family. My parents consider me dead, but now I want to reconnect with them and go back to Indore. She repeatedly requested the police to send her home as soon as possible.
