Crackdown on Black Glass Vehicles in Lahore: TikToker Rajab Butt’s Car Also Fined

In a citywide campaign to enforce traffic regulations, authorities in Lahore have intensified action against vehicles with illegal black-tinted windows. Among those affected was popular TikTok personality Rajab Butt, whose vehicle was stopped and the black paper removed for violating traffic laws.

According to reports, the operation was led by DSP Mubashir Awan in the Thokar Niaz Baig area. The Dolphin Force, known for its rapid response and patrol duties, has been tasked with identifying and penalizing violators using unauthorized tinted windows—often seen as a security risk or an attempt to evade visibility.

SP Dolphin Force Arsalan Zahid confirmed that the campaign is part of a broader initiative. “Thousands of vehicles have been targeted across Lahore in recent days,” he said. “No one is above the law. This is about ensuring public safety and transparency on the roads.”

Rajab Butt’s vehicle was among many checked during routine surveillance. Despite his popularity on social media, legal action was carried out without exception, reflecting the city’s commitment to consistent law enforcement.

Authorities have urged citizens to cooperate and remove black glass voluntarily to avoid penalties. SP Zahid added, “This campaign will continue across the city. Violators will face strict consequences under the law.”

The move aligns with the Punjab government’s ongoing efforts to enhance road safety, reduce crime, and increase visibility for law enforcement during patrols.
