Today it is considered to be the most progressive ideology party in America. At the same time, the leaders who opposed the slavery formed a Republican party in the year 1854. In the year 1860, Abraham Lincoln became the first President as the candidate of this party. This party was previously considered to be an ideology of equality and freedom, but over time it became a traditional and nationalist thinking party.
