Uttar Pradesh Implements Route Diversion for Kanwar Yatra

New Traffic Diversion Plan Announced

As the Kanwar Yatra approaches in Uttar Pradesh, the Gautam Buddh Nagar police have rolled out a revised route diversion strategy for various commercial vehicles. This plan will affect vehicles traveling from Ghaziabad to Bulandshahr, Hapur, Moradabad, and other destinations. The diversion will be enforced from 10 PM on July 11 until July 25.


According to DCP Traffic Lakhan Singh Yadav, ambulances, vehicles carrying essential supplies, and government vehicles are exempt from this diversion. For traffic updates, individuals can reach out to the traffic helpline at 9971009001, send a message to the WhatsApp number 7065100100, or check the X handle of Noida Traffic Police.


Key Diversion Routes

The primary diversion routes are outlined below:



  • Commercial vehicles traveling from Chilla Red Light to Ghaziabad, Hapur, and Moradabad will utilize the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, followed by the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

  • Vehicles from Delhi heading to Ghaziabad, Hapur, and Moradabad via Noida and the DND flyover will take the same route.

  • Vehicles moving from Noida to Ghaziabad, Hapur, and Moradabad through the Delhi-Badarpur Border and Okhla Barrage will also follow this route.

  • Traffic heading to Ghaziabad, Hapur, and Moradabad via NIB, Model Town, Chhijarsi, and Taj Highway will use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

  • Commercial vehicles on the MP-1 route to Ghaziabad, Hapur, and Moradabad will be redirected to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and then to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

  • Vehicles traveling to Ghaziabad and Delhi from Aligarh, Bulandshahr, and Secunderabad via Dadri NH-91 will also use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

  • Vehicles heading to Delhi via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway from Secunderabad and Kasna through Pari Chowk will be diverted to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway at the Sirsa roundabout.
