Vedika Prakash Shetty, a personal assistant at one time to Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, has been arrested by the Juhu Police for allegedly cheating money belonging to Bhatt and her production house Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt Ltd. The scam is worth more than ₹76 lakh, it is said to have been defrauded through the issuance of fake documents and bills.

Complaint Filed by Soni Razdan

The mother of the actress, Soni Razdan, had previously complained against Shetty this year, which prompted the present inquiry. It is claimed by the authorities that Shetty diverted money both from Alia’s personal account and from the funds of her company under false claims. The case is still under investigation, and there has been no official word from either Alia Bhatt or her representatives.

Begun by Alia Bhatt in 2021, Eternal Sunshine Productions aims to produce “happy films” based on warm and ageless stories. The production company started with the release of the Netflix movie Darlings, made in association with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. In spite of the scandal, Alia Bhatt is occupied with future assignments. She is shooting currently for Alpha, which is a spy thriller that is a part of YRF’s Spy Universe and features Sharvari Wagh. It will come out on December 25, 2025.

Alia will also reunite with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War. In an earlier interview, Alia expressed excitement over the collaborations, especially seeing Bhansali and Ranbir work together again.
