American Express is offering customers a new cashback perk to celebrate its new partnership with the airline Wizz Air.

From July 7 to August 4, 2025, eligible Amex cardmembers who spend £150 or more with Wizz Air will receive £15 back. The offer applies to flight bookings made online or through the Wizz Air App and onboard services. This latest agreement with Wizz Air adds to Amex's base of accepting merchants in the UK and now means that cardmembers can use their Amex Card with all major airlines that fly in and out of the country. Dan Edelman, UK general manager of merchant services at American Express (Amex), said: "We are committed to ensuring our Cardmembers can use their Card wherever they live, work and travel.

"We're delighted that American Express is now accepted by Wizz Air, one of Europe's leading low-cost airlines. This agreement gives our Cardmembers travelling for both leisure and on business greater flexibility when spending with Wizz Air and further cements our strong merchant acceptance across airlines and beyond."

The new offer is available for eligible Amex Cardmembers, including those with the American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card, the American Express Rewards Credit Card, the American Express® Business Gold Card, the Amex Cashback Card, and the Amex Cashback Everyday Card.

To redeem it, cardmembers must make a purchase of £150 or more online or onboard using their Amex Card, and they will receive £15 back.

The offer is valid once per person for the first 90,000 cardmembers. To be eligible, customers must save the offer to their Amex card.

In addition to this promotion, Amex is also offering new customers who sign up for an Amex Cashback Card their first year free.

The offer waiving the annual £25 fee is valid until Tuesday, July 15, so customers have just one week left to take advantage of the deal.

The Amex Cashback Card offers cardmembers 5% cashback on purchases for the first three months (up to £125).

After that, people can earn 0.75% cashback on spending up to £10,000 and 1.25% on anything above that. This is paid annually, and there is no cap on how much you can earn.
