UP Weather: Heavy rain alert in many districts including Aligarh, Mathura, Bijnor, IMD issued alert in many districts

UP Weather: It has been raining lightly in many districts of Uttar Pradesh for the last few days, which has brought great relief to the people of the state from the scorching heat and humidity. Now coolness is also being felt in the winds blowing in the morning and evening, which is an indication of the arrival of good monsoon rains in the coming days.

While heavy rains are falling in the surrounding areas of the state, light to moderate rains have been recorded in some districts of UP. The month of Sawan is also about to start, and people are hoping that the rains will intensify in the coming days.

Meteorological Department’s forecast: Yellow alert in many districts even today

According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert of light to moderate rain has been issued for both western and eastern UP regions in the map released for Wednesday, July 10, 2025. This means that even today there is a possibility of rain in many districts of Uttar Pradesh.

There is a ‘yellow alert’ for rain in these districts:

The districts for which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain are: Central Uttar Pradesh: Banda, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Kanpur Dehat, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Etawah, Auraiya, Mainpuri.

Eastern Uttar Pradesh: Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar.

Western Uttar Pradesh: Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad.

Rohilkhand region: Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Sambhal, Badaun.

All these districts and surrounding areas are expected to remain cloudy with light to moderate rainfall.

Clear weather will prevail in other districts

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a green alert for the rest of the districts, which means that the weather will be clear in these districts and there is less chance of rain.
