Read desk. Titan has unveiled its most grand and creative design “Jalsa”, which is a significant turn in Indian clock construction. This rare watch of 40.5 lakh rupees is as expensive as any luxury car including Toyota Fortuner in India. With this offer, Titan has formally entered the market of luxury watches, which compete with the international mason.

The ‘Jalsa’ manufactured under the Nebula brand of Titan is much more than only one watch. It is a weedable painting, which pays homage to the royal craftsmanship and the 225th anniversary of the Hawa Mahal, one of the most famous buildings in Jaipur. Only ten pieces were made, which made Jalsa not only the Titan’s most expensive watch so far, but also became the official participation of the clock industry’s most prestigious international event, Grand Prix D’Horlogri de Jeneve (GPHG) 2025.

What do you know about Jalsa?

With the Hawa Mahal in the background, Jalsa Dial is a small artwork that shows a Rajput ruler on an elephant under the guidance of a Mahavat. Each dial was painted by hand using the colors of natural gems on a finely carved piece of marble by Shakir Ali, who was awarded the Padma Shri, one of the few living master of the Persian style short painting.

The center of the Jalsa has a Titan’s in-house flying tourist movement-a complex design designed to improve the accuracy of time, including 144 components and 14 gems. This movement appears through a sapphire crystal exhibition Caseback, and the clock also includes architectural bridges with red sulemani stone.

After experimenting with metal, paper and wood, Ali decided to use marble for dial as it has historical importance and ability to maintain the brightness of colors. The marble increased the weight of the clock, but every small artwork had fine nuances, which gives each a unique, unique feeling.

‘Jalsa’ represents the future of the brand besides respecting the royal history of India. Titan has made it clear that he wants to compete globally, as is evident from the increasing interest in mechanical craftsmanship and domestic demand for premium experiences.
