As competition intensifies in the AI space Google is offering high salaries to engineers analysts scientists to managerial roles. Silicon Valley compensation culture is otherwise also discussed worldwide. Google has continued to offer premium salaries  in roles linked to engineering research and artificial intelligence.  At the same time the company has changed its internal performance evaluation systems. In April 2025 Google reviewed its ranking to employees in annual performance reviews stating that “high performance is more important than ever” according to a company memo reported by Business Insider.
