The tragic death of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar has taken a disturbing turn, as new findings from her post-mortem report reveal deeply unsettling details. Humaira, who had worked in various dramas, films, and brand campaigns, and was also a contestant in Tamasha Season 1, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her apartment. Initially believed to have passed away just weeks ago, recent developments suggest she may have died nearly nine months earlier.
Dr. Summaiya, who performed the initial post-mortem, confirmed that Humaira’s body was in an extremely advanced stage of decomposition. Even parts of the body that are usually the last to decay—such as the back of the skull and the knee joints—had deteriorated significantly. One of her hands had even separated from her body due to the extent of the decay, pointing to a timeline far longer than initially suspected.
Journalist Iqrar ul Hassan has been actively following the case and shared insights gathered from police sources and crime reporters. According to phone records and statements from neighbors, the last known contact with Humaira was in September or October of 2024. During that time, she was seen attending events, and her last phone call also took place in September. After that, there were no signs of life, no outreach from friends or colleagues, and no effort to check on her wellbeing.
There were no drugs or harmful substances found in her apartment, but all food items had expired by October last year, and the electricity in the flat had been disconnected since then. Surviving such conditions in Karachi’s harsh climate without electricity or fresh supplies would be impossible, reinforcing the belief that her death occurred months ago.
The most disturbing aspect of this case is the silence and inaction from those around her. No friends, family, or industry contacts appear to have noticed her prolonged absence or attempted to check in on her. Iqrar ul Hassan stressed the urgent need for a proper investigation, suggesting that this should not be treated as a simple case of unattended death. He emphasized that questions must be asked—not just about how she died, but why no one noticed.
As the investigation continues, Humaira Asghar’s death serves as a grim reminder of the isolation many individuals face, even in the public eye.
