The tragic and mysterious death of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar, whose body was found in a decomposed state months after her death, has shaken the public—especially those living alone in large cities like Karachi.

In a crowded metropolis, it’s alarming that a woman could lie dead in her apartment for nine months without anyone noticing. The incident has sparked deep fears among people—particularly those who live alone due to work or relocation.

Humaira had been missing for ten months, yet no one seemed aware. Her death has highlighted the importance of maintaining contact with friends, family, and neighbors, and has revived conversations about community care and social responsibility.

Many individuals in Pakistan’s entertainment industry reside far from their families due to work. Following this incident, the industry is now taking action.

Actress Sonya Hussyn revealed in a recent Instagram video that, when she contacted the police to arrange Humaira’s funeral, she was told the body could only be handed over to blood relatives. Humaira’s brother and brother-in-law were then called to Karachi to claim her remains.

Deeply affected, Sonya announced that a new WhatsApp group has been created within the entertainment industry. This group includes actors, makeup artists, technical crew, and especially women living alone, to ensure regular communication and support.

She shared that senior actress Rubina Ashraf and actor Yasir Hussain have also stepped up to help. The industry organization ACT is taking action as well. However, Sonya emphasized that one organization alone can’t look after everyone.

“This is the time for all of us to take personal responsibility,” she said. “It’s already our duty to care for our parents and siblings, but we must also look out for our friends and neighbors.”

Sonya urged people to regularly check in: “Ask if someone needs food, if they’re unwell, or need to go to the hospital. If each of us checks in on just five people, maybe we can prevent such heartbreaking tragedies in the future.

Earlier, The tragic death of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar has taken a disturbing turn, as new findings from her post-mortem report reveal deeply unsettling details. Humaira, who had worked in various dramas, films, and brand campaigns, and was also a contestant in Tamasha Season 1, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her apartment. Initially believed to have passed away just weeks ago, recent developments suggest she may have died nearly nine months earlier.

Dr. Summaiya, who performed the initial post-mortem, confirmed that Humaira’s body was in an extremely advanced stage of decomposition. Even parts of the body that are usually the last to decay—such as the back of the skull and the knee joints—had deteriorated significantly. One of her hands had even separated from her body due to the extent of the decay, pointing to a timeline far longer than initially suspected.
