- Raw bananas – 2 to 3 (boil and mash)
- Boiled Potato – 1 (Mashed, optional)
- Rock salt – as per taste
- Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
- Green Chilli – 1 (Finely chopped)
- Green Coriander – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
- Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
- Sago flour / water chestnut – 2 tablespoons (for binding)
- Desi ghee or peanut oil – to cook tikki

Method (Sawan Vrat Special, Raw Banana Cutlet Recipe)
- First of all, boil the raw banana and peel and mash it well.
- Mix mashed potatoes (if using), rock salt, black pepper, ginger paste, green chillies, green coriander and lemon juice.
- Mix well and mix water chestnut flour or sago flour for binding.
- Allow the mixture to be set for a while (10 minutes). Now make tikkis by applying some ghee to the hands.
- Heat the griddle and add a little ghee. Stand the tikkis till they turn golden and crisp from both sides.
- Serve hot with curd and green chutney. Along with tea, one can also be served in the evening breakfast.
