Rajasthan was battered by heavy rain on Wednesday, leaving several parts of Jaipur waterlogged. Amid the chaos, a man stood by the flooded roadside, hands on his head, eyes filled with tears — a silent image of distress that captured the city’s struggle.
The man, reportedly a resident of Subhash Chowk, lost the balance of his scooter due to the water-flooded road and dropped his mobile phone. The incident that took place near Ramniwas Bagh caught everyone’s attention as the heartbroken Haldhar sobbed on the road.
A video shared on X shows him wading through knee-deep water as vehicles cross by, frantically searching for his phone. With his hands on his head and frustration on his face, he blamed civic authorities for the worsening conditions.
Rajasthan witnessed heavy rain over the past 24 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Nasirabad in Ajmer district recorded the highest rainfall.
