What is APAAR ID?

The full form of APAAR is Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. It has been created under the Academic Bank of Credit (ABC). This includes admission in school or college, passed classes, course credits, certificates, and degrees.

How to get an APAAR ID made online?

The student or applicant will have to contact their school. The school updates the student's information, including name, Aadhaar, mobile number, and class on the UDISE+ portal. After this, the student has to log in to DigiLocker through the Aadhaar card. After logging in to DigiLocker, select the option of APAAR ID and give authorization. APAAR ID will be generated in a few seconds, and it will be saved in DigiLocker.

Note: If the student is a minor, that is, if he is below 18 years of age, then the consent of his parents will be required.

Who can apply?

Students studying in government or private schools can apply for this. Apart from college and university students, there are students who are doing skill development courses.

APAAR ID is a big step towards making education digital and more transparent in India. This allows the student to track their education journey in a better way and access it immediately when needed.
