The version that is being sold in limited quantities is a modified version of Sandler's putter Happy, which he used to chase down Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) and win the Tour Championship at the end of the season, as per a report by Golf.
The putter in Happy Gilmore 2 will be an updated Odyssey version. Just prior to the Tour Championship, Happy received the hockey stick putter as a gift from Chubbs Peterson, played by the late Carl Weathers, in the original movie.
With dimensions of 44 inches and a lie angle of 57 degrees, the new Happy Gilmore hockey stick putter is more driver-like than a typical putter. Its 21-inch grip makes it ideal for anyone who wants to use Happy's well-known slap-shot putting technique.
Unfortunately, according to a Callaway representative, the hockey stick putter is not allowed to be used on the course due to its flat back, but that shouldn't deter you from trying it out.
