R. Madhavan breaks his silence on the language conflict, ‘Tamil bhi bolta hoon…’

At this time the language controversy is once again at its peak in Maharashtra. So far many stars including Ajay Devgn and Shilpa Shetty have reacted to Marathi vs Hindi. Now in the meantime famous actor R. Madhavan expressed his opinion amid the ongoing controversy over the Hindi-Marathi language.
What Did Madhavan Said On Language Controversy?
The actor said that he had never faced any problem due to language in India he also said that he has lived in different states and cultures of India but language has never become a hindrance in his life or work. When asked about the language and regional differences in India he said that he had never faced any problems due to language. During a conversation with News 18 Madhavan said No I never had any problem due to language. Main Tamil bolta hoon Hindi bhi jaanta hoon. I have also studied in Kolhapur aur maine Marathi bhi seekhi hai. So I never had any problem due to language whether I knew the language or not.
What Is The Language Controversy That Has Happened?
Recently the Maharashtra government had ordered to teach Hindi as a third language in its government primary schools along with Marathi and English. This step was taken under the countrys three-language policy which aims to teach three languages to children in school. But this issue got politicized when Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS called it an attack on Marathi identity.
What Opinions Did Other Artists Give?
Recently when Ajay Devgn was asked a question on the Hindi-Marathi language controversy at the trailer launch of the film Son of Sardar 2 he said in the style of Singham Aata maajhi satkali. Apart from Madhavan and Ajay singer Udit Narayan also reacted to this controversy. He said that we should respect the language and culture of every region. Udit Narayan said We live in Maharashtra and this is my karma bhoomi. Therefore the language here is also very important. Also all the languages of our country should get equal recognition.
