New Delhi: Legendary marathon runner S. Fauja Singh passed away today at the age of 114. He was hit by a vehicle and taken to a hospital in Jalandhar but sadly he could not survive. Known for his amazing fitness even in old age he inspired people all over the world. His death has left fans and the sports world deeply saddened. Who Was Fauja Singh? Legendary marathon runner Fauja Singh passed away at the age of approximately 114 years. He had reportedly been unwell for the past few days. He was widely celebrated as the world’s oldest marathon runner. Fauja Singh began his marathon journey in the year 2000 and participated in eight major races. When Did He Gain Global Attention? In 2011 he gained worldwide fame after completing the Toronto Marathon becoming known globally as the oldest marathon runner.
