This hiring campaign is to fill positions like Senior Inspector, Forester, Probation Officer, Assistant Inspector, Executive Officer, Assistant, Lower Division (Counter) Clerk, and a few more. Applicants need to check their eligibility requirements for the openings beforehand.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from an established university to be eligible. Certain posts may call for specific academic education, such as a Law or Commerce degree. The age requirement is 18 years, and the upper age limit is usually fixed at 32 years, but age relaxation is permitted for reserved categories according to government regulations.

The procedure for Group 2 and Group 2A categories is slightly different. In Group 2 (interview posts), applicants have to pass three phases: a Preliminary Examination (objective type), then a Main Written Examination, and a third phase of Oral Interview. To proceed in the selection process, all three phases have to be cleared, and the interview has an important place in the final merit list.
Group 2A (non-interview posts), however, has only two phases — Preliminary Exam and Main Written Exam. No interview phase is included, and the final cut is solely on the basis of performance in the written tests. Aspirants are requested to go through the detailed notification carefully and check if they fulfil all the eligibility criteria before applying.
