Railway New Rule: A new rule of Indian Railways has come into effect from today i.e. 15th July 2025. Now passengers will get some more convenience in Tatkal ticket booking.

Every day lakhs of passengers travel by railways. In such a situation, Indian Railways keeps changing many of its rules from time to time to provide good and better facilities to the passengers. Recently, Indian Railways had implemented new rules from July 1, which included rules from ticket booking to change in ticket prices.

What is the new rule

Today i.e. from July 15, 2025, another new rule of Indian Railways has come into effect. According to the new rule, now passengers will have to do Aadhaar OTP verification for instant ticket booking through IRCTC website or app. Now passengers will have to verify themselves with the OTP received on the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card. This new rule will bring transparency and it will also be easy for common passengers to get instant tickets.

Why was such a rule brought?

As soon as the instant ticket booking starts, most of the tickets are booked by agents within 30 minutes. Due to which common people face a lot of difficulty in getting tickets.

Please note that instant ticket booking for AC starts at 10 am. On the other hand, instant ticket booking for non-AC starts at 11 am.
