Mahindra is preparing for its grand annual event which this year goes by the name Freedom NU. The homegrown carmaker will take this opportunity to unveil a wide range of preproduction concept models. As revealed in a previous teaser, Mahindra will showcase four brand new concepts in the upcoming event namely Vision T, Vision S, Vision SXT, and Vision X.

After Vision T, which is most likely to preview a preproduction prototype of the Thar electric, the Chakanbased automaker has now teased the Vision S. Although the latest teaser doesn’t reveal any specific details about the product to be displayed, we can presume that the Vision S has something to do with Scorpio. The Scorpio range currently comprises the Classic and Scorpio N.

Mahindra Vision S: Expected exterior details

In the first teaser, Mahindra showcased a top view of the front section of the vehicle comprising its bonnet and wheel arches. The latest teaser highlights the side view of the same section which gives more clear visuals of the flared wheel arches as well as the bonnet scoop. The side view also gives a clear indication of the upright nose with a sealedoff front fascia.

The hooded bonnet profile and angular cladding for the wheel arches are the new highlights visible in the latest teaser. The wheel arches are filled up by chunky offroadbiased tyres accentuating the vehicle’s rugged nature. We also see a sharply raked out front windscreen which suggests that this vehicle may not be as tall as current Scorpio models.

On a closer glance, you also notice the charging flap located right under the nose. Other visual highlights include a flat clamshell bonnet featuring prominent vents, and a modern interpretation of Mahindra’s signature sixslat grille.

The Vision S is expected to be built on Mahindra’s new NFA (New Flexible Architecture) platform, which is engineered for versatility and performance, with a strong focus on electrification and sustainability. Although the interiors are under wraps, expect the cabin to be heavily loaded with all the bells and whistles.
