DreamSetGo, the premium sports experiences and travel platform, will host Usain Bolt, an eight-time Olympic gold medallist and the fastest man in history, on his first-ever multi-city tour to India this September.
The visit marks the launch of Dream Icons, DreamSetGo’s flagship IP that brings the world’s greatest sporting legends face-to-face with Indian fans through bespoke, immersive experiences.
Exclusively curated by DreamSetGo, Bolt’s tour will span Mumbai and Delhi and include fan interactions and cultural engagements. He will be the first guest under the Dream Icons banner, with more global athletes expected to follow.
One of the highlights of the tour will be Dream Dash, a nationwide sprint challenge for school students, culminating in a final showdown in front of Bolt himself. The event aims to inspire young athletes by giving them the rare opportunity to run in the presence of the fastest man on the planet.
Daniel Dsouza, Co-founder of DreamSetGo, said: “Bringing Usain Bolt to India is a defining moment, not just for DreamSetGo, but for India’s growing position in the global sports economy. It reflects our commitment to building extraordinary, access-led experiences that go beyond spectatorship. With Bolt’s visit launching Dream Icons, we’re bridging aspiration with access, celebrating greatness, inspiring the next generation, and reinforcing India’s readiness to host the world. This is not just a tour; it’s a signal that India is ready to be centre stage in the world of sport.”
Usain Bolt added: “I’m excited to return to India. The energy, the people and the passion for sports here is truly unmatched. I have a lot of fans in India and am really looking forward to my visit there later this year.”
India’s sports tourism market, valued at $10.87 billion in 2023, is projected to grow to $68.7 billion by 2035. In the first half of 2024 alone, more than 15 million Indians travelled abroad, many planning their holidays around major global sporting events.
A recent study shows that 71% of Indian travellers are willing to travel overseas for sports, underscoring a broader shift toward experience-led travel.
