In a current AI race Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is going to hire a team of artificial intelligence experts for the company’s newly formed Super Intelligence Lab. Reports now suggest that Meta is offering massive salary packages ranging from Rs 800 crore to Rs 1600 crore to top researchers from Apple OpenAI Google DeepMind and Anthropic. Mark Zuckerberg’s Rs 1600 Crore Salary Offer To Apple’s Employee According to reports Meta has offered Rs 1600 crore in total compensation to Ruoming Pan who is a leading AI researcher from Apple and will join the Super Intelligence Lab. After hiring Trapit Bansal a former OpenAI scientist who was reportedly paid a Rs 800 crore package. Though Meta has not officially confirmed these massive offers media reports citing insiders suggest the compensation includes signing bonuses restricted stock units (RSUs) and long-term vesting plans exceeding the packages of global banking CEOs. Meta’s Push Into AI Zuckerberg’s strategy to attract the best AI minds is part of a big restructuring and re-commitment to AI within Meta. The Super Intelligence Lab formed earlier this year is led by Nat Friedman (former GitHub CEO) and Alexandr Wang (ex-Scale AI CEO) both well-known names in tech and AI circles. In recent months Meta has hired at least 11 high-profile AI scientists like Lucas Beyer Xiaohua Zhai Jack Rae and Johan Schalkwyk These names are primarily from Google and DeepMind shows Meta’s intent to pull talent directly from rival companies. Mark Zuckerberg Building AI Powerhouse Mark Zuckerberg also recently announced that Meta is constructing a massive AI infrastructure like multi-gigawatt data clusters. Some of these data centers are being temporarily built in tents inspired by Elon Musk’s tent factory model used during Tesla’s Model 3 ramp-up. These shift facilities have  prefabricated cooling systems which can speed up deployment and AI model testing. Additionally Meta has invested $14 billion in Scale AI to secure high-quality training data a critical element in building next-gen AI systems.
