Renault Group has announced Duncan Minto as Chief Executive Officer of Renault S.A  effective from 15 July 2025 for an interim period until the appointment of the new CEO is confirmed.

Last month, the French carmaker confirmed that Luca de Meo decided to step down from the role of company CEO in order to pursue new challenges outside the automotive sector. Luca de Meo joined Renault in 2020 from Volkswagen when the French company was staring at the barrel with sales hitting an alltime low and economycrunching pandemic breathing down its neck.

Taking tough decisions like making the company more linear and cutting down on the workforce, Renault managed to bounce back under Luca’s tenure. As Renault’s major market is Europe, it was one of the few manufacturers that was not affected by the latest US automobile tariffs.
