Google will launch the Pixel 10 series at its ‘Made by Google’ event on August 20 in New York. Expected devices include Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, featuring AI tools and the new Tensor G5 chip. The event will also unveil new Pixel Buds and a Pixel Watch.
Google has started sending out invitations for its annual ‘Made by Google’ event. The event will be held in Brooklyn, New York on August 20. The event will see Google “share the latest on our Pixel phones, watches, buds, and more.” The entire Pixel 10 range will be announced at the event, alongside a new Pixel smartwatch, earbuds and more.
The invite says that the ‘Made By Google’ event will be held in New York and it will begin at 1pm ET (10.30pm IST). The company is largely expected to announce the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Apart from flagship-level specifications, the phones are expected to integrate hoards of AI-features to help make mundane tasks easier. Past leaks suggest that the Pixel 10 range will include a new processor, a better display, and faster biometrics. The Pixel 10 range is likely to come with the TSMC-made Tensor G5 chip.
With the event now confirmed for August 20, this means that Google plans to unveil the Pixel 10 range just weeks before the Apple event, which is historically scheduled for early September. Google’s most premium model – the Pixel 10 Pro Fold – is likely to compete with the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. It is rumored to not be as thin and light as the Samsung competitor, but will have better water and dust resistance. The foldable device is also likely to have a bigger battery life and display.
As options in the foldable phone category continue to increase, Apple is yet to announce one in its portfolio. Reports are rife that Apple is indeed working on one, but it is still in the early stages. An actual ‘iPhone Fold’ may be seen next year.
