Indian Railways' Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory has invited applications for the recruitment of several apprentice posts. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online for this recruitment through the official website of ICF pb.icf.gov.in. The registration process started on 12th July and will end on 11th August. Under this recruitment drive, a total of 1010 apprentice posts will be recruited in the coach factory.

Candidates with a 10th pass and ITI can apply for this recruitment. The age limit of ITI candidates should be between 15 and 24 years, while the age of non-ITI candidates should be less than 15 years and not more than 22 years. However, as per government rules, SC-ST candidates will be given 5 5-year relaxation in the age limit, and OBC candidates will be given 3 3-year relaxation.

Candidates applying for recruitment to the posts of Apprentice will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. However, SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates do not have to pay any application fee. The fee should be paid through online mode.

The merit list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of their marks obtained in class 10th. However, in case of COVID pass candidates in 10th, the proof of class 9th mark sheet/class 10th half-yearly mark sheet, duly signed by the Principal of the institute, will be taken into consideration for preparing the merit list. If two candidates have the same marks, then the older candidate will be given preference, but if their date of birth is also the same, then the name of the candidate who passed the class 10th examination first will be considered first.

ICF Apprentice Stipend: How much stipend will be given?

Freshers- School pass out (Class 10th): Rs. 6000 per month
Freshers- School pass out (Class 12th): Rs. 7000 per month
ITI pass (National and State Certificate Holder)- Rs. 7000 per month
