Actress Humaira Asghar was found dead in her flat in Karachi, and her brother has expressed strong suspicions that she was murdered. According to him, when they went to collect her body, the police informed them that a back door of her flat was found open, suggesting foul play.

In a recent interview, Humaira’s brother Naveed Asghar urged the Sindh Police to investigate her travel history thoroughly, including whether she traveled abroad with anyone unfamiliar to the family. He emphasized the need for a detailed investigation, including gathering full information about the landlord of the flat.

Naveed requested the police to check when the landlord purchased the flat, how long they have been residing in Karachi, and what connections they have to Lahore. He strongly believes that the death was a planned murder carried out with careful thought.

He also dismissed claims that Humaira was facing financial difficulties, stating that she was independent, earning well, and never mentioned any financial problems. He rejected rumors that the family was upset with her for working in the showbiz industry, clarifying that she entered the industry by choice and the entire family was happy for her.

Naveed shared that Humaira usually did not stay in regular contact, often going three to four months without speaking to him, which he considered normal. He was unaware of her living in Karachi and traveled there for the first time to collect her body. He stated there was no animosity between them despite the limited communication.

He expressed his strong belief, with about 90% certainty, that Humaira’s death was a result of a well-planned murder and urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation from all angles.

When asked about the response from the showbiz community, Naveed complained that despite many public statements, no prominent personalities had come forward to offer condolences in person. He said those who spoke on social media and Instagram did not visit the family to express their sympathies.

Humaira’s father also voiced disappointment, saying that no major figures from the entertainment industry visited them, and only close relatives attended the funeral.

It is important to note that Humaira Asghar’s body was found on July 8 in a rented flat in Karachi, and she was buried on July 11 in her hometown of Lahore. According to the police and post-mortem reports, her body was about 10 months old, with her death estimated to have occurred in October 2024. The body had remained undiscovered in the flat since then.
