Material
- Tomato – 3 (big, for puree)
- Ginger – 1 inch piece (grated or paste)
- Green chilly – 1 (finely chopped)
- Cashew -8-10 (soaked in hot water)
- Gram flour – 1 tablespoon
- Oil/ghee – 2 tablespoons
- Cumin – 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala – 1/2 teaspoon
- Fenugreek seeds – 1 teaspoon (hand mashing)
- Salt – As per taste
- Green coriander – To decorate

Method
- Prepare cashew paste: Make a smooth paste by adding a little water to the soaked cashews.
- Tomato Puree: Blend tomatoes and make puree.
- Tadka: Heat oil/ghee in the pan. Add cumin and asafoetida to it.
- Add ginger and green chillies: Fry them lightly.
- Add gram flour: Add gram flour and fry on low flame until its rawness is over and slight fragrance starts coming.
- Add tomato puree: Now add tomato puree and fry well by adding spices (turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli) until the oil starts leaving.
- Add cashew paste: Now add cashew paste and mix well.
- Add water: Add water as per your need and let the gravy cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Garam Masala and Kasuri Methi: Finally add garam masala and kasuri fenugreek. Decorate with green coriander.
