Renowned Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim has come under public scrutiny following reports of marital discord with his wife, Sannia Ashfaque. The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, are reportedly living separately after allegations surfaced on social media accusing Imad of infidelity.
Imad, who recently retired from international cricket but remains active in global leagues like the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has not issued any formal statement regarding the rumors. He and Sannia have two children, and the couple recently welcomed a baby boy.
Sannia Ashfaque, a digital creator and influencer, shared a deeply emotional message on her social media after giving birth. Her post read:
“I carried you for 9 months on my own. May Allah bless me with even more strength for the journey ahead, Zayan.”
Support poured in from family members and followers, many calling her “strong” and “resilient.” Notably, Sannia also changed her social media bio, removing references to being Imad’s wife and instead listing herself as “Mama to Inaya Imad & Rayan Imad.”
Fueling the speculation further, fans have taken to various online platforms to express their disappointment, some even accusing Imad of being involved with a social media influencer. These claims remain unverified, but the backlash has been swift and intense, with users urging accountability and expressing solidarity with Sannia.
One follower commented,
“These public figures should realize the impact of their actions. Behind every scandal is a real woman and real children facing pain.”
Others drew comparisons with similar controversies involving other cricketers, suggesting a pattern of disrespect towards relationships within the sports fraternity.
While the rumors continue to circulate, there has been no confirmation or denial from Imad Wasim himself. Fans are now waiting to hear an official word as the issue gains widespread media attention.
It is worth noting that Imad had previously been linked in reports to a friendship with a woman from Afghanistan, though those claims, too, were never officially addressed.
