Samsung has recently launched new smartphones. Which includes many smartphones from budget to premium. The company has also launched the seventh generation foldable phones. Now there is talk that the company may soon launch its first tri-fold phone. It has been reported that the company’s tri-fold phone will be launched in the coming months. Many updates are coming out about this phone even before its launch.

It has been reported that Samsung’s first tri-fold phone can be launched in October this month. This first tri-fold phone is likely to be launched under the name Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold. The company has not yet given any information about the debut of the smartphone. However, it is being said that a new APK teardown of the beta code under One UI 8 has hinted at the chipset of this triple-screen foldable phone.

Android Authority has spotted a code string in One UI 8 – ‘siop_q7mq_sm8750’, which confirms information about the upcoming Samsung tri-fold handset. ‘q7mq’ is believed to be the codename for the Galaxy Z Trifold and ‘sm8750’ is said to refer to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Therefore, it is speculated that Samsung’s tri-fold device will use this flagship Qualcomm processor. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is also found in Samsung’s premium offerings, such as the Galaxy S25 series and the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Expected specifications of Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold

Some details about the smartphone have been leaked ahead of its launch. If this information is to be believed, Samsung’s tri-fold could be known as the Galaxy G Fold or Galaxy Z Trifold. This phone could feature a 9.96-inch display, which would give it a larger screen like a tablet. It is expected to have a triple rear camera setup and the camera system could be similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The upcoming Galaxy Z Trifold is likely to feature a G-type design, which will also feature inward-folding hinges. The phone is likely to launch with a silicon-carbon battery and Samsung’s One UI 8 skin with Android 16. According to the information received, the tri-fold handset will be limited to South Korea and China only as only 3,00,000 units (or less) can be made. Samsung Mobile head TM Roh recently confirmed that the company will launch a tri-fold smartphone by the end of this year. The smartphone is expected to be officially launched in October with a higher price tag.
