A theft and an act of vandalism have been reported at the farmhouse of Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani, located in Maval, Pune district, said officials.

According to sources, the farmhouse was found in a ransacked state, with multiple items stolen and significant property damage inflicted by unidentified miscreants.

The incident came to light when Bijlani visited the property on Friday after several months. Upon arrival with her two house help, she discovered that the main gate was broken, and the window grills had been forcefully removed.

A television set was found missing, and another was damaged. Several household items, including bedding, a refrigerator, and CCTV cameras, were either stolen or destroyed.

In her official complaint to Pune Rural SP Sandeep Singh Gill, Bijlani explained that she had been unable to visit the farmhouse for a long time due to her father’s health issues.

“The moment I reached, I was shocked to see the main gate broken. Inside, the damage was worse — broken window grills, missing electronics, and complete disarray on the top floor," she stated.

She added that all the beds were broken, and numerous valuables were stolen.

CCTV footage from the property is currently being analysed by Pune Rural Police, who have launched a full investigation into the case.

Video evidence reportedly shows the burglars not only looting the property but also causing extensive destruction across the premises.

Police are expected to provide further updates as the investigation progresses.
