Whether Salman Khans films are hits or flops it doesnt affect his stardom. Even his flop films easily earn over Rs 100 crore. The film were talking about also earned more than Rs 200 crore at the box office. However despite that it couldnt be considered a success because its budget was also very high. Along with Salman his younger brother Sohail Khan also played an important role in the film. The movie we’re talking about is Tubelight. However Salman and Sohail’s movie failed to shine at the box office. Its earnings were barely close to its budget.
What was the budget of Tubelight movie?
Tubelight was released on 23rd June 2017 and was directed by Kabir Khan. The film had a budget of Rs 100 crore. While Salman Khan played the character named Laxman Sohail Khan portrayed Bharat. The film also featured actors like Om Puri Amit Singh Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub Yashpal Sharma and Brijendra Kala.
How much did the film Tubelight earn?
The 2-hour 50-minute movie managed to recover its budget in India but was not considered a box office hit. It collected Rs 119 crore domestically and earned Rs 212 crore worldwide. However due to its relatively low collection compared to expectations the film was considered average.
On the work front Salman Khan was last seen on the big screen in Sikander. This film was released worldwide on the occasion of Eid in March. But Sikandar did not succeed in winning the hearts of the audience. It did a business of more than Rs 100 crore but still the audience had to face disappointment.
Now Khan will be seen in the film Battle of Galwan. This film will be based on the clash between the Indian and Chinese armies. Chitrangada Singh will also be seen in the film being directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The shooting of the movie will start in August.
