The centerpiece of the night was the song Hat, composed and performed by Phuong in the role of a father struggling to connect with his autistic child. The piece blends contemporary musical theater with rock, creating a soundscape that is both raw and cathartic. Through layered melodies and heartfelt lyrics, the song becomes a metaphor for nurturing empathy, an invitation to look beyond differences and embrace the emotional world of children with autism.

The song’s title is symbolic, capturing both the fragility and the potential of love and acceptance. Just as a seed needs time, care, and understanding to grow, so does the connection between autistic children and the world around them.

Another remarkable moment of the night was the performance “Trieu cap mat” (A Million Eyes), a haunting portrayal of the societal judgment faced by children with autism and their families. Dancers wearing symbolic eye masks surrounded the central character, illustrating the suffocating scrutiny they often endure.

The entire show unfolded as a continuous emotional journey, anchored by three central performers: ArtiXis (as the autistic child), Phuong, and Nguyen Hoang Hanh Tien (as the mother). Through music, movement, and visual storytelling, they led the audience through a profound narrative of isolation, frustration, and ultimately, healing through love.

“The audience didn’t merely watch a performance—they immersed themselves in an emotional realm, experiencing the story from an internal perspective,” said the team production’s representative.

Adding to this tapestry of emotion was pianist Nguyen Nhat Vy, whose classical arrangements infused the show with a delicate yet powerful touch, connecting key scenes with carefully crafted piano sequences.

The soaring, nuanced notes she played helped elevate the audience’s emotional state, allowing the performance to breathe between moments of tension and release.

The compassion didn’t stop at the concert. Following the performance, the production team and Fatzbaby representatives visited Thanh Tam Shelter, home to children with disabilities and special needs. The team brought gifts and essentials along with music and stories to children who rarely have the opportunity to experience live performances.

According to the production team, this gesture reinforced the message of “Hat Giong”: that true connection is forged through empathy, presence, and meaningful action.
