Liverpool has agreed a deal with Bundesliga’s Eintracht Frankfurt for the signing of striker Hugo Ekitike, according to multiple reports.

The French international is expected to complete his medical in the coming days and join Liverpool in the pre-season tour in Hong Kong.

The transfer fee is likely to be £79m, potentiall rising to £89m with add ons.

Ekitike, who started his career at Reims, signed for Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 after a loan spell with the reigning Ligue 1 champion the year before.

He was loaned out to Frankfurt in 2023, where he impressed before being signed permanently by the German club in 2024.

In the previous season, he scored 15 goals and assisted eight in 33 appearances.
