Pakistani actress Alizeh Shah has finally opened up about her highly publicized 2021 confrontation with fellow actor Minsa Malik on the set of the drama Mohabbat Ki Akhri Kahani. In a series of candid Instagram stories, Alizeh not only addressed the incident but also highlighted the broader issues of unprofessionalism, disrespect, and mistreatment within the Pakistani entertainment industry.

According to Alizeh, the fight began when Minsa Malik falsely accused her of slapping her and throwing a cigarette at her during a shoot. Denying the claims, Alizeh said, “Yes, I smoke, but I never carry cigarettes outside the makeup room. She accused me and even pushed me during a scene where I had to hug her. When we reviewed the recording, nothing was visible. Later, I confronted her in the room where Sami Khan was also present. I lost my temper and threw a sandal at her. The next day, it was all over the news that I attacked her on set. Sami knows the truth.”

Alizeh stressed that she has always demanded respect on set. “I don’t let anyone cross boundaries. Even if you are a senior, stay in your limits,” she said, clearly fed up with the industry’s casual disregard for professional decorum.

She also criticized the industry’s overall lack of facilities and respect for artists, saying, “There are no proper transport arrangements, no functioning washrooms, and no air-conditioning on set. I work long hours with makeup and extensions, and all I asked for was a separate room because I smoke and didn’t want to inconvenience others.”

Alizeh further expressed her disappointment in the double standards faced by actors. “We’re labeled as ‘divas’ or accused of showing tantrums for demanding basic respect. Producers make money from our hard work, yet we’re treated like we don’t matter.”

The 2021 altercation between Alizeh and Minsa had even led to an FIR, drawing widespread media attention. Actor Sami Khan, who was present at the time, later confirmed on Ushna Shah’s talk show that a physical altercation had indeed occurred between the co-stars.

While the controversy resurfaced recently, Alizeh’s revelations have sparked fresh debate over working conditions in the industry and the behavior expected from actors both on and off set.
