Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has finally stepped into the 125cc sports commuter motorcycle segment in India. The company has unveiled the Honda CB125 Hornet in India and its prices will be announced on 1 August.
The Honda CB125 Hornet has the same well-known 125cc engine which is also found in Shine 125 and SP 125. This engine generates power of 11.1hp and torque of 11.2Nm. This output shine is slightly higher than 125 and SP 125. The engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox.
Talking about the equipment, Honda CB125 Hornet has a Golden USD Fork and preload adjustable monoshock. Talking about the brake, the rear of the motorcycle has a 240 mm petal disc brakes with single-channel ABS. The wheels are 17-inch alloy wheels. The front wheels have 80/100–17 and the size of the rear wheels is 110/80–17. Its curb weight is 124 kg and the company claims that it is one of the lightest bikes in its category.
Technically, this motorcycle has a 4.2 -inch TFT display which is also present in Hornet 2.0. This means that it has Bluetooth connectivity through Honda’s Roadsink app. Riders can watch navigation, calls and messages alert through screen. The bike will have a complete LED lighting and also includes a futuristic look LED headlight.
The Honda CB125 Hornet’s color options are red, fluorescent yellow, blue and black. The color of alloy wheels matches bodywork. In India, CB125 Hornet will compete with TVS raider 125, Hero Extreme 125R and Pulsar N125. Due to the increasing popularity of the 125cc Sports Commuter segment, motorcycle manufacturers are introducing new models in it.
