With India already depleted in the pace department, Jasprit Bumrah's ankle injury during the Manchester Test has raised concerns as Shubman Gill and Co look to avoid series defeat.

Team India already had injury issues before the Manchester Test, but with Jasprit Bumrah limping on Day 3, the worries have already intensified. A visual went viral online where Bumrah was seen limping while climbing the stairs at the Old Trafford stadium. Multiple reports revealed that the pacer twisted his ankle while climbing up the stairs.

Later, Ravi Shastri confirmed on air that the World No.1 pacer has suffered an ankle twist while walking down the staircase. Bumrah returned to the field but was not introduced into the bowling attack. Shastri revealed that Bumrah cannot bowl till the players return from the Tea break, as he was off the field for 30 minutes.

Later in the press conference Team India bowling coach provided an update on Bumrah and Siraj injury concern. SPeaking to reporters he said, "Regarding injuries, unfortunately, when we took the second new ball, Booms rolled his ankle going down the stairs. Siraj also, I think, rolled his foot in one of the footholds. But they seem to be okay."

England dominate India on Day 3

England have tightened their grip on the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in Manchester. By stumps on Day 3, England had scored 544/7, leading India by 186 runs.

England's top and middle order rose to the occasion. Joe Root played a masterclass, remaining the pillar of the innings with a superb 150, laced with 14 boundaries.

He was well-supported by openers Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, both of whom chipped in with crucial contributions to build a strong platform. Ben Stokes, fresh off his exploits with the ball, added to India’s woes with a gritty 77* and continues to frustrate the visitors alongside Liam Dawson, who is unbeaten on 21.
