"He was well known to me and my brother. He was more like a friend and also lived close by. I even helped fund his sister's wedding," Adnaan told Hindustan Times. The Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant shared that when he launched his first gym in Mumbai, a dream he had nurtured for years, he trusted the person with managing its social media page after the latter requested a job. Wanting to help, Adnaan gave him a job at the gym. Unfortunately, within a year and a half, that trust was broken.

"I avoided the prevailing discrepancies in accounts for some time. But then I had to confront him," he added. Adnaan shared that when confronted, the individual was quick to offer an excuse, claiming his father had suffered a heart attack. However, upon cross-checking, Adnaan discovered it was a lie. Eventually, the person confessed to stealing around Rs 4 lakh.
Adnaan, who later filed a police complaint, shared that the incident deeply impacted him and has since made him more cautious, making it difficult for him to trust new people. "Despite occasional doubt, I continued to trust him because of our long-standing association," Adnaan said.
He also urged everyone to stay alert and protect their money, emphasising the importance of being cautious about whom you trust with your business or personal responsibilities.
"No matter how long you've known someone, always maintain proper accountability and regularly monitor your finances," he concluded
